Multiple entry points come from the work of Howard Gardner. They are based on the idea that an expert is able to explain a concept in a variety of ways.   When planning, use this sheet to check all of the ways that you currently teach a key concept. Then think about a student you find challenging to teach.  What one additional entry point might help to engage that learner? 
Note that you can also use multiple entry points can easily become multiple representations - a variety of ways that students can demonstrate their understanding.
