Karen’s presentation ‘Web of Relationships’ discusses concepts of relationship and community in the online space, how they affect today’s learners, and examines the application of social networks and other online tools in education. On April 13, 2011, Karen joined Gay Stephenson of People for Education to discuss education in the digital world. What if schools can’t keep up? How will we engage today’s students? Is creativity important? Do rewards and punishments work to motivate kids? What can teachers and parents do?

On February 14th and 18th, Karen appeared on a Canada A.M. series about Student Success. On the 14th, Karen spoke about what parents can do when a child receives a failing grade (see her blog post).
